Amazon Resale UAE: condition grades and price alerts

Amazon Resale is a part of Amazon.ae that sells returned, warehouse-damaged, used and open box products. Amazon.ae says that it was previously known as Amazon Warehouse. Each item gets one of four condition grades. This guide explains the grades and how to get an alert when an Amazon.ae price drops.

What Amazon Resale sells

Amazon.ae describes Amazon Resale as "a part of Amazon.ae that specializes in offering great deals on returned, warehouse-damaged, used, or open box products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.ae rigorous standards as 'new.'" You can browse it on the Amazon Resale page on Amazon.ae.

Amazon.ae says that it tests the functional and physical condition of each item and gives it a grade before it sells it. The product detail page describes the condition of each item.

The four condition grades

Amazon.ae uses these four grades. The text below is a short form of the descriptions on the Amazon Resale page.

Used - Like New

The item is in perfect working condition and all its essential accessories are complete. The packaging may be damaged.

Used - Very Good

The item may have seen limited use and fully functions. It may have minor cosmetic imperfections, damaged packaging or be repackaged, and it could be missing some non-essential accessories.

Used - Good

The item may show wear from moderate use and fully functions. It may have minor cosmetic damage, such as a small scratch. It may be missing some valuable accessories, which you may need to buy before you can use it.

Used - Acceptable

The item may have clear signs of use but still serves its main function. It may have scratches, dents or worn corners, and it may be missing valuable accessories, components or spare parts.

For the Good and Acceptable grades, Amazon.ae shows missing accessories or parts in the description of each item. Read it before you buy.

Before you buy

• Read the condition description on the product detail page.
• Compare the price with the price of the same product in new condition.
• Check that it is the same product: model, storage or size, colour and bundle.
• Amazon.ae says that its inventory keeps changing and that it cannot predict future availability for any item.
