How to set a price drop alert in the UAE
How to get email alerts from a free DeserTracker account and desktop notifications from the extension when a tracked price drops, and what to do on a phone.
A free DeserTracker account sends you an email alert when a tracked price drops or reaches your target price. On a computer, the DeserTracker extension also shows a desktop notification when a tracked price drops. On a phone, use the website.
Email alerts from a free account
- Sign in with a code sent to your email.
- Add a product. Paste its URL on the dashboard, or track it from its product page.
- Set a target price if you want one. You can set it on the dashboard or on the product page.
An alert goes out when the price drops by at least 1 AED and at least 1 percent. Both conditions must be true. For example, on a 200 AED product, the price must fall by at least 2 AED. On a 50 AED product, it must fall by at least 1 AED.
With a target price, you also get an alert when the price reaches your target.
Amazon.ae products get these alerts too. For an Amazon.ae product, the alerts can also cover a used or refurbished offer price.
Desktop notifications from the extension
The free DeserTracker extension shows a desktop notification when a tracked price drops. It works on Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox on a computer.

On a phone
The extension does not work on phones. On a phone, track products on desertracker.com and get email alerts.
Before you buy
An alert tells you that the price dropped. It does not tell you that the new price is low for that product. Our guide How to check if a sale price in the UAE is real shows how to compare it.
